Delfino Vineyards, Roseburg, Oregon
On our way back up the coast my daughter found a little
cottage on the grounds of a winery to break our journey. Five dogs to greet us, a hot tub, a bottle of wine in the fridge and a beautiful walk up the hill to a meadow. It felt like a complete vacation. Maybe I won't come back home.

You'll have to commute, you know. We need more of your Charleston photos!
Bet there aren't too many Black Cabs in Roseburg, either....
Keep on enjoying the vacation!
Joan, your photos are fantastic! I love your deer. It looks like he is looking right at you for the picture. Too cute! Glad you are having such a good time. Enjoy!
I would totally understand if you now just drop off the face of the earth. I will know exactly where you are. ..."Yes, please do refill my glass and is the temp right at 102 degrees??)
Zounds! Talk about beauty! I would never leave! Where is this place? I'll tell Lois Anne to start packing.
Oh, wait, we gotta sell the house!
looks beautiful!
Wine in a quiet Oregon cottage? I wouldn't come home either!
I will forward this post to my own daughter, for her "things to do with mom when I'm done college and making more money than she is" file.
intelliwench - it worked for me!
shadow - Shame it all has to end. Sniff.
Caroline - It was!
Jacob - and houses ain't selling. :(
I just love these! No wonder you want to stay!
Egads - THE DEER! THE DEER! What a great shot, that moment of recognition before you see the white tail bounding away into the woods...
Joan, Thanks for posting the photos and sentiments about your stay here. MrScribbler, the grape photo is of Tempranillo, a spanish varietal, but we do have Cabernet Sauvignon too. The smaller grapes have no seeds to provide hormones for growth but they still ripen and provide extra character and flavor to this wine. Jim@DelfinoVineyards.com
