Lime green and purple are not my color choices for a historic house but if it was up to me everything would be painted blue so I suppose it is fortunate I don't get to pick for everyone. Blue houses for you, blue houses for you and you and you! What do you all think about this color combo?
Trying out recipes in my new Instant Pot pressure cooker means either I need to invite people over to help eat or enjoy leftovers. The stew from a couple of days ago is now in the oven in a cute little meat pie. I love me some leftovers.

Not my colours, but the place stands out!
I love the lime green, yellow, and white - but I would have used dark green as a contrast trim, not blue/purple.
Slow cooker recipes ROCK! Sometime, Google "Root beer brisket slow cooker recipe" - it's AWESOME!
The colors doth offend mine eye. As for Mrs. Slapthing, Joan was talking about pressure cookers, not slow cookers. And most slow cooker recipes I see on the Web are silly. They could be done just as well (perhaps better) in the old fashioned way of cooking. But that's just my (and SWMBO's) opinion.
Not mine either.
I am not a lime green person. Limes however are another thing. I'd love a lime tree.
Catalyst is correct. I am talking about the new Instant Pot pressure cooker. It is a slow cooker, rice cooker, pressure cooker and can saute all in one.
I have to squint to look at it as well.
You are correct. I am still learning my new toy and in my case it is a toy since I am not cooking for a family. People get all fired up about cooking hard boiled eggs in a pressure cooker. Leaves me scratching my head.
Perhaps the colors were from a free paint day. Does Charleston recycle paint to be given away free and then I suppose white paint can be tinted any color. There was a time those gingerbread houses were painted several colors on a single exterior. No doubt there is a scholar at the College of Charleston or The Historic preservation Society or the mesuem of Charleston that could address this topic of paint color and the popularity thru the years. The Lime green and Purple was no doubt from a charming shower curtain sold at Target a season ago and now has found its way to the siding of this structure. Do not dispair it may fade and soften to a more interesting hue.
A considerable amount of time and effort goes into painting a house. There is considerable prep work and repair to engage in prior to slapping the first coat of primer on a building. Not to mention money and expertise. Perhaps there is a little known internet challenge here Paint the house in a manner that it will be on instagram and blog posts the most. Keep up the good work-- CDP-- U Go girl.
