Fogscape Charleston

Broad St., Charleston, SC
Fog does funny things to camera buffs. I was tortured by the choice of places to go in this morning's mist. Magnolia Cemetery, beach, downtown? I settled on the peninsula because I've been tardy this year in capturing Charleston's Christmas festive wear. I made the right decision. Each corner I turned I got more excited with the scene.  What a beautiful city we live in.

Home to a refrigerator full of tasty holiday left-overs just the way I like it. I settled in with Moroccan chicken, roasted cauliflower and the Call the Midwife Holiday special.

It looks like you were nearly the only one out. We've had fog a couple of days lately and I love it.

So when it's foggy, did the Christmas full moon make an appearance?

The fog lends a prettiness to it all.

So completely beautiful! Thank you. Everytime I've sort of forgotten about Charleston, you do something like this and make me miss it acutely for a couple of weeks.

All are lovely. The first and second are especially good.

Love the surreal quality the fog adds to these pictures...one point though...the picture with the row of buildings is Broad Street. But the one with the pink and beige houses is East Bay, also known as the High Battery, which looks out on Charleston Harbor and Fort Sumter...and the one showing a park and a large beige building is taken along the Murray Blvd side of White Point Garden at the tip of the Charleston peninsula...the large building is the Fort Sumter Hotel...now condos...all lovely..thanks for visiting...
