The Edge of America

Folly Beach Pier, Folly Beach, S.C.
Beach traffic scares me away during the summer but this is my kind of beach walking day.  Overcast skies but not cold. If I did a Folly Beach search on this blog I expect most entries would be from November, December and January. I wasn't the only one enjoying the ocean but it was lovely and peaceful.

I can't do a Folly Beach entry without something quirky and fun. Pull up a chair!

Ha! Pull up a chair! Nice. :) I was at Isle of Palms this morning. It was a bit cool and rainy, but that didn't stop me from walking a bit and taking a few pictures. I'm back in Charlotte now. I only went down there for the night and to have dinner at Hyman's with my girlfriend. We try to get down there at least once a year to have dinner there. I guess that we like it!

May Folly always stay quirky.

It's my kind of beach day, too. Scuddy clouds in a slate grey sky. Love it.

It did start to drizzle a little as I headed back to town. Not enough to ruin a good walk. Glad you had a good visit!

Yes, it is a good one and well used for fishing.

Amen!

Exactly! I will let the vacation crowds have it on the hot, hot summer days.

That is quite a handsome pier. There is a similar but longer and older pier in Naples. It is the kind of thing you can photograph over and over and still think you have not exhausted the possibilities.
