Rutledge Ave., Charleston, S.C. |
How is everyone's week going? From all the posts around Charleston it feels like everyone but me is spending their days eating, drinking, partying and enjoying the Spoleto Festival while I've been cooped up in my office. Hmmmph. For someone who has a "people" job I seem to spend a lot of time at my desk clicking away at my keyboard.
For the record, my school campus didn't look like this, did yours?

ha ha, nope, my school campus didn't look like that either... very cool shell house, didn't know about it, thanks for the photo!
That actually was my school. The Shell House is a special place for seniors only. Thanks for the good photos.
Gee, when I run into cobwebs like this, I wipe them up before taking the picture. You are much more laissez faire than I. And, even though I attended a school with a beautiful campus, we didn't have any buildings with conch shells pasted to the siding. I missed out.
I was told once this was where the older girls were allowed to smoke. I am not sure it was true, but it sounds good.
Barbara - Dr. Sanjay Gupta got married there...cool, eh?!
It is such a beautiful campus. You were very lucky.
Hahah! I thought they added to the photo :)
It probably used to be true. Were you one of those guys who liked to date Ashley Hall girls? I've heard stories.... ;)
Get out from behind that desk girl, and go boogie!!
As for me, the cobwebs do add to the photo. I consider them good luck, especially if I didn't see them when I was taking the picture. Lots of my closeups of garden flowers reveal tiny strands of silver once they're properly sized and sharpened. They're also part of my interior decor, which I call "early Vincent Price".
Shell house!!! Reminds me of "Shell Cottage" from the Harry Potter stories - did you see how they portrayed it in the movies? Lovely lovely, yours and Ms. Rowling's!

not a bit. beautiful light.
I'm surprised your enterprising ways have not found a means of enjoying the Spoleto events as part of your job description. Surely there is a way to spend time amongst the throngs as a way to advertise RSFH. The dangers of sunstoke or something.... Think. It'll come to you.
I did it again today. My butt was getting numb from sitting in one place.
I love you garden photos. Haven't kept up with Harry Potter though...let me follow your links...
Thanks brattcat!
I was working on a project to bring the symphony to us but started too late for Spoleto. Keep an ear out though!
One of the doctors I work with documented that a patient was covered in whelks! So I am sending him this picture. (think he meant wheals)
