Yankees Go Home
Yankees Go Home, Coming St., Charleston, S.C.
It is such a relief to be Canadian. I've never read, "Canadians, go home, eh!" in the pavement. It looks like someone tried to rub this out but it was too late.
oh, dear. i hope this isn't the reception we should be anticipating... we'll be in charleston march 8th and will give this anti-yankee individual his/her wish on the 12th.
Probably written by the guy I saw recently at the airport wearing a T-shirt that said, "Lee surrendered. I didn't." Sheesh! Talk about holding a grudge!
Y'all better stop and go back to read this one again. It definitely says "YANREES GO HOME". That was Calude and Ethel Yanrees, who moved to Charleston from Florida. They had these awful domestic disputes every Friday and Saturday night in life, and were eventually evicted from Charleston and deployed over Iraq as an annoyance bomb.

They could have been referring to the baseball team!
brattcat - no worries. Charleston also wins the annual award for Best Mannered City.
Kate - Ha! Practice saying, "Can I have some ice tea, y'all?"
Lowandslow - Heheh.
bfarr - true! Of course if it was about Canadians, I guess it would say Canucks Go Home.

- Marcheline (at work)
You know, I meant to type "Claude", but now that I look at it, I think I prefer "Calude" after all.
Marcheline - That got me laughing! Too funny :) I like your version better.
...and I thought the last of them did- in 1977.
