Dock St. Theater color matching

Dock St. Theater, Charleston, S.C.

One of these days I'm going to get down on my belly to take a picture and I won't be able to get up. Groan. It's going to be a sad, sad thing. Check out the matching paint trim on the doors at the Dock St. Theater and the bike. Coolness!

Have a good Sunday kids.

Joan, the second most important function of a tripod is to allow shutterbugs to regain an upright position :)

Don't they have Boy Scouts in Charleston? Isn't helping people get back on their feet, cross streets, etc what they do? ;)

We found a vendor at the Saturday morning flea market in Aspen who refurbishes vintage bikes like this one. They are so cool, and apparently in high demand, too.

fragilewisdom - good plan! I'm not likely to start carrying one on all my walks though. Maybe I should go ahead and get a cane. Getting out of a kayak is another trick I can't do gracefully anymore. Sheeesh.

lowandslow - aren't they pretty? Love it!

Very nice, Joan. My DSLR has an LED screen that pops out and moves at angles, so I can hold the camera low or high and not have to do the gymnastics that my body no longer permits.

Jack - my little pocket camera has that neato feature but my DSLR doesn't. It is a handy thing!

Love the bike. The basket looks like one I would like to have on mine. Colour coordination is always a good thing in photos!!

I too am frequently on my tummy taking shots and getting up is getting more challenging. I always wonder what the people that see me think : )

I know what you mean about not be able to get up. I often kneel down to get a shot, and once gotten have to comptemplate how I will get up again. Too much hesitation on my part may make people think I am deep in prayer.

Les - me getting out of a kayak - that is another pitiful sight :)

I have found getting in is easy with gravity all to well on my side, or bottom as it would be. Getting out I always hope there will be no spectators dockside.
