Sermon on the door

King St., Charleston, S.C.

A door shot from my door album. Probably painted over by now. Gotta be quick with the camera.

I came home, made a yummy guacamole salad, found my corner of the couch and nodded off. Zzzzz. It wasn't easy to wake up and go for my march about town but I did it. The weekends are so very sweet lately and then Monday comes and I drive to work thinking of the week ahead and wondering how the heck I am going to squeeze everything in. I put a good dent in the list today. Check, check, check. Busy days, good days.

I need recommendations of good tv shows. I love having something to look forward to and doesn't seem to be anything that I care about right now. Mad Men is off season and Big Love is getting so crazy. What are you all enjoying?

Battlestar Galactica - the most recent series (as in, not the 1970's one). Edward James Olmos, Mary MacDonald... an excellent cast, an exciting story, and beautifully written. I am not a "sci-fi" fan, but I love this series. You might ought to give it a try.

I'd recommend Netflix.

Thanks Marcheline. Those are all new to me.

brattcat - I go to movies but when I watch them at home it is just a good nap :)

I feel your pain Joan... if you find a good one, I hope you share! The only show I sit down to watch regularly is American Idol :)

If you get BBC America channel, try Top Gear. They make me laugh out loud by myself in the house, and I'm not even a car person!

I haven't watched much TV at all in the last decade, but all of a sudden, some decent shows are on (my husband calls it "recession TV" - you know, people can't afford to go out, so they stay home and want decent TV shows).

I like "The Good Wife," "Castle," and "Modern Family."

And I like what brattcat said...

Not familiar with Castle or Top Gear - will check it out!

Thanks folks!
