Rainy day lunch treat
Tabbuli Grill, 6 Market St., Charleston, S.C
What a perfect rainy day not to be at work stressing about driving the flooded streets of Charleston. I headed out walking in a break in the rain, was soaked through by King St. and it made complete sense to stop by the newly opened Tabbuli Grill on Market St. for an indoor lunch. Yummers! Their official opening isn't until this weekend but I can give my lunch the Charleston Daily Photo stamp of approval.
Check out their menu here. I had the chicken kabob pita. I licked the sauce off my fingers. I'll be back.
Now that I've showered and dried off it might be tea and nap time. How sweet it is having a sneaky day off when everyone else is working. Carry on kids!

looks goooood!
Here I am dieting and that chicken kebab or pita is making me want to blow the diet... YUMMMMM
maggsworld - it was worth it. I justify it by walking too and from the restaurant :)
Hey, Joan! We were in your lovely, lovely city just this morning and witnessed first-hand the flooded streets. I remembered you posted some photos of them about a year or so ago, and I got a couple of photos of garbage cans floating down the street at Cannon Park. I knew that you would get a kick out of that! - We only got to spend yesterday and this morning there, but I have to tell you, I have never before been so sorry to leave a city. My daughter now wants to go to the College of Charleston just so that she can spend more time there. We loved every minute of our visit and are looking forward to our next trip! - Rachel
oh.. this is a nice menu.
Rachel - How fun to hear from you! Now you know exactly what I am talking about. The Market area floods easily. I am so glad you had a good time.
Egad... that looks DELICIOUS!!!
Yes, we discovered that when we went down to the market to check it out right before leaving town. But we saw so many people sporting cute rain boots! And spied some adorable ones in shop windows. All we can think of is Charleston and we have friends who are going to spend their anniversary there soon, so we are spreading the word! I wish you dry feet and warmth - Rachel
