Crooked Palmetto Cafe

Saffron's Cafe & Bakery, East Bay St., Charleston, S.C.

Saffron's Cafe & Bakery spruced up their entrance. Cool! Love those matching tilted palmetto trees. How did they do that?

I haven't eaten at Saffron's for years but I've had flashbacks to their Sunday brunch buffet recently. It used to be a regular habit. Yum. Anyone eaten there lately?

The USA Today box really crowns the overall effect.

Does, doesn't it? It doesn't really look like Charleston.

I've been going to Saffron since it opened years ago. I've eaten there within the past year and it's consistently good food. I think the last thing I had was the falafel. What I love about Saffron is the pastries! A couple of months ago I stopped by there and got a box of various pastries and delivered them to my girlfriend and her co-workers. She's a nurse at East Cooper Hospital (PCU unit). I love the pastry with all the fresh berries on it... whatever it's called - YUM!

Thanks Pam! I'll give it a try. I had a bad experience with some veggie lasagna that was frozen solid in the middle there that took a while to get over. Yuck. I used to enjoy their brunch so much.
