Drunk on Jasmine

Jasmine covered garden door, Montagu St., Charleston, S.C.

Every single little white Confederate Jasmine blossom in the lowcountry burst into bloom last night.

Jasmine is draped over wrought iron fences, hanging over garden gates, wrapped around stairwells, planted to climb up palmetto trees and draped over my garage. I walked the Montagu, Bull, Queen St. stretch this evening and I came home quite drunk on the smell of jasmine.

One of my major goals this spring/summer is getting hold of some confederate jasmine for the back wall of my cottage.

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

One of my favorite smells of Spring. Take a walk down Magazine Street if you're over that way.
