Don't stop. Keep on going.
Hollywood, SC
"Don’t stop. Keep right on going. Hitch up your trailer and go to Canada or down to Old Mexico. Head for Europe, if you can afford it, or go to the Mardi Gras. Go someplace you’ve heard about, where you can fish or hunt or collect rocks or just look up at the sky. Find out what’s at the end of some country road. Go see what’s over the next hill, and the one after that, and the one after that."
Wally Byam.
I love looking at the wacky old pictures of caravans of Airstreams traveling around the world. There are incredible scenes of them in France, India and in front of the pyramids in Egypt in 1958. What a sight that must have been.

Love this old truck and the silver trailer behind it. Like looking into the past...a more simple time.
Joan, hi! Haven't introduced myself ... am a long-time, appreciative stalker :) Just wanted to say thank you for all the times you've put a smile on my face. I'm a native South Carolinian, hailing from Columbia, and now splitting my time between Hilton Head Island and Atlanta. My sweetie and I have spent many a wonderful vacation in your beautiful city of Charleston (20+ years at Seabrook Island, with regular jaunts into Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, etc.) My sister lives at Kiawah. Charleston is a beautiful locale, and maybe one day we'll return permanently. In the meantime, it's a pleasure reading your entertaining/interesting posts ... my window view into your world and our cherished memories :) Take care! Carla
Jarart: Thank you. I don't think this caravan is going anywhere fast.
SweetPea; I luvs me some stalkers :) Thanks for introducing yourself and the kind words. Let me know if there is anything you want a photo of.
Good heaven's I love those old airstreams. I would love to get in one and tour the US. What a photo journey that would be.
My friends just returned from Charleston and had a wonderful time. They were very impressed with the beauty and history. In fact the woman of the couple told her husband so many times, "Oh Bethany needs to come here" that it caused her husband to tell her quite forcefully that "We're NOT taking Bethany on vacation with us". That of course made me laugh. I told her to tell him, "No worries, I won't be a vacation crasher" but I really must head that way.
Thanks for the advice they followed several of your suggestions.
First of all, I love that photo of the truck and the Airstreams. One does not just buy one of those, you buy a membership into one of the worlds most exclusive clubs :-)
GirlBlogger: I wish you had crashed the vaccie! That would have been grand! I am glad they had a good time.
Doug: Aren't they cool?
