Baby in Waiting

Newborn Nursery, Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, SC

At midnight on Christmas Eve, one of the Nursery Nurses will carry baby Jesus out to the manger scene and lay him in the manger. Meanwhile he waits with the other babies in the nursery.

Thanks Tanya! At midnight on Christmas Eve the nursery nurses will carry him out to lay in the manger. People keep seeing the empty manger and report the baby missing. Merry Christmas!

What a wonderful idea for a hospital to have? It brought a big grin to my face ...

It is a nice tradition isn't it? This year I didn't drive out at midnight to take pictures though. I did last year.

Baby Jesus is in serious need of a couple of days under the phototherapy lights. He looks like his liver exploded. Surely we can contact Micheal Jackson's people about the whole skin bleaching thing...let poor baby Jesus in on it.

And Joan, Michelle brushed her hair, put on lipstick and oh, wait, no papparazzi awaiting her.

Sadness. Our poor little yellow Jesus deserved some adulation

JanetLee: Oh Lord, am I going to have to drive out every Christmas Eve at midnight and hum Silent Night? You know what the papers did? They all printed the picture I took last year. It is in Island Life and West Of.
