The horse photobombed my alley shot

Longitude Lane, Charleston, S.C.

Unrelated to the horse that walked into my shot improving in tremendously, I am here this evening to remind everyone that the Terrace Theater film festival is in progress. I've been busy working of course, but you should go. Find the schedule here: Terrace Charleston Film Festival

Snakes in the alley!

Longitude Lane, Charleston, S.C.
I've seen the Don't Tread on Me flag before but not this bright red and blue version. It was a dramatic pop of color on Longitude Lane.

I tried my hand at a Moroccan chicken stew this weekend and came home smiling knowing there was a pot of leftovers in the frig. I quickly took care of that.

What a glorious day! It was painful sitting inside working all day. So many people have been off sick lately it was tempting to try to call in "too healthy to work" on such a pretty day. Rain tomorrow and cold the next so I hope everyone appreciated the sunshine.

Charleston Alleyways

Longitude Lane, Charleston, S.C.
I am waiting on a chicken pot pie in the oven since my son is having dinner with me this evening. Smells pretty darned good in here.

This evening's photo is of one of Charleston's quaint little lanes. My shot is pretty, no? Now take a look at the same lane though the lens of professional photographer Doug Hickok. Wowza! Gorgeous.

Swingin' down the lane

Longitude Lane, Charleston, S.C.
Everybody's hand in hand
Swingin' down the lane
Everybody's feelin' grand
Swingin' down the lane

That's the time I miss the bliss
That we might have known
Nights like this
When I'm all alone

When the moon is on the rise
Baby I'm so blue
Watchin' lovers makin' eyes
Like we used to do

When the moon is on the way
Still I'm waitin' all in vain
Should be swingin' down the lane
With you

Frank Sinatra

Charleston does have the sweetest lanes and alleyways. I never get tired of wandering down them.

I am up late working on a work slide show set to music. These things always take longer than anyone imagines don't they? I think I worked it all out finally.

Check out this lovely article Ken Burger wrote about one of my gentlemen volunteers Charlie Black. Thanks Ken!

G'night kids. Turn the lights out.
