Frogmore Stew & Facebook Friends

Frogmore Stew, Lowcountry Boil, Beaufort Stew...no matter what you call, there is something for everyone in the pot. It is the perfect meal for a group and it was on the menu last night at a very special homecoming party for the lady pictured with her family below.  Hosted by Dr. & Sharon Beavers, many of the guests had never met each other in person but had a common link - affection for a lady who has survived a heck of a year and was finally home with her loved ones.

Welcome home Lana! Thanks to our gracious host and hostess. It was great to put faces to so many Facebook friends.
Paul, Lana and Ryan Nelson

Nice Post Joan, nice to see my dentist, Dr. Beavers, in your blog; we just love him. I feel bad that I haven't blogged on him in From The Land of Palm Trees. Your blog makes me smile. Doug

The stew looks yummy. I've done similar with crawfish. Glad you had fun! ;)

What a wonderful feast! Reminds me of a lobster feast a former neighbor from Boston would have on occasion. Although quite different, WI's Door County peninsula is alive with fish boils, which I used to eat and love as a kid...not so fond of them anymore. Since we're going there tomorrow on a mini vacation, I think I'll try to get some decent photos of a decent fish boil!!

Well, I don't know Lana, but I wish her nothing but happiness and good times ahead! What a wonderful way to celebrate!
