Charleston's Ginkgo Biloba party

Ginkgo trees at the Charleston Library Society

Ginkgo trees at Marion Square, Charleston, S.C.
Ginkgo leaves, King St., Charleston, S.C.
Charleston had a Ginkgo Biloba party and I hope you were there! The crazy wind yesterday probably put an end to the festivities but it was grand while it lasted. Besides, who doesn't like saying Ginkgo Biloba, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginkgo Biloba.....?

And yes, Virginia, there is a Ginko blog! Check out: The Ginkgo Pages where I found this gorgeous video.

Libraries are the first places I go when I arrive in a new town. I think I'd like this one!

Catching up...too tired to blog while on our drive with our dog which is taking longer than planned! We're almost in Santa Fe...)

Not sure how to pronounce Gingko Biloba.

Lovely! Especially like the first photo because I can make up all kinds of stories about what might be happening.

OK, so now I know what a Ginkgo tree looks like. What's a Bilboa? *running off to google it*

Ginkgo biloba. Yes, a funny name. Nearly as funny as the names of most NPR announcers. Steve Inskeep. Michelle (pronounced MEE shel) Norris. Audie Cornish. Lakshmi Singh. Do they ever hire guys named Bob Jones?

brattcat - I have heard about the smell but I guess I've never been there at that unfortunate time.

Kate - Travel safely!

Les - I love that video. Wow.

Marcheline - and we can nibble on some ginkgo leaves....

Rick - sounds like a character from the Hobbit.

Cathy - It is a very old membership library society building.

Jack - Hahah! True!

Green tea extract is rich in polyphenols such as bioflavonoid and antioxidants such as EGCG (Epigallocatechin gallate). These fight free radicals present in the body.
