There was something for everyone who might consider giving back at the Volunteer Fair at the Lowcounty Senior Center this morning. From Pet Helpers to Hospice every agency that uses volunteer support was represented.

It's one of my favorite days of the year when the Lowcountry Senior Center Choir and their recorder band come to perform at the hospital. These photos were from Friday. We should publicize it more because it is indeed a joyful noise. Thanks folks! You made my day.

It always feels like the beginning of the Christmas season when the Lowcountry Senior Center choir arrives to entertain at the hospital. They were followed by the pipes recorder band. I look forward to this happy group every year.

I've had a busy week and am enjoying a lazy catch up morning watching the new season of Broadchurch on Netflix instead of the depressing world news. I have pansies waiting to be planted and it is a nice sunny day. I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Next week is Volunteer week but we've been pro-active and held volunteer recognition events this week. I've been party hopping and have been hugged by so many wonderful people I should be radiating good will.

I've helped host volunteer award luncheons for Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital, Mount Pleasant Hospital, Roper Hospital and today I attended a recognition brunch for the Lowcountry Senior Center volunteers on James Island. What a great group. Joe Hanf, pictured getting the smooches above has volunteered for over 10,000 hours for the Senior Center.
