Recent day trip to Georgetown, SC

These shots were taken on a recent day trip up the coast to Georgetown, SC. It's the perfect distance for a midday trip and a stop for pralines to nibble on the way home.
Georgetown's historic district could be mistaken for Mt Pleasant's old village, but gets little respect.I hope it stays this way when we are searching for a retirement cottage!

I was just reading about St. Helena Island, down the coast from you, and its Gullah culture. Sounds fascinating.
