Framing options
Michael's is finally open West Ashley next to Best Buy. Yay! I have been holding my mother's old Nursing Diploma from the University of Toronto waiting on their opening specials for framing. I love having the crafty, picture framing store close by. They were helpful and my store-opening discount coupons (check today's Post & Courier) helped a lot but I still get sticker shock whenever I get a picture framed.

Check out that hand calligraphy.

Yes, amazing skill that calligrapher had. I'm sure it will look beautiful framed and hanging on your wall.

It seemed worth it but wow, framing is expensive. That is why I am always looking for cool used frames in second hand stores.

I think it was one of their first degree nursing programs. Very cool.

As a pictue framer for 25 years and an employee of Hobby Lobby for 8 years, I may be biased but recommend Hobby Lobby over Michaels for picture framing. For 8 years, I have re-framed or had customers come back siting their pricing is higher. HL offers 50% off the frame molding and you can use an additional 40% off coupon on the matting or glass. They have alot of their ready made frames as well that run 50% off every other week. Regardless of your choise, maker sure to use all acid free materials and 99% UV glass to keep those diplomas looking like new.
