Bastille Day at Fish Restaurant

Bastille Day at Fish Restaurant, Charleston, S.C.
Bastille Day at Fish Restaurant - I think it is a bigger affair each year. This year the costumed crowd gathered at Marion Square and marched up King St. and it seems more and more people were wearing costumes. The only suitable costume I have is Joan of Arc and the chain mail is simply too heavy to enjoy wearing for dinner. I shrink a quarter inch each time I wear it.

Oh, Joan! Next year go as a Can-Can dancer. It would be easy to find fish scale/mesh stockings and lost of petticoats. Another friend could join you and you could do a routine can-can dance! Imagine how much fun it would be. . .rouge cheeks, red lipstick and high heels!! Start building your wardrobe NOW!!

There were a lot of good costumes this year. People are really getting into it because Chef Nico Romo is French.

Oh Kate - there were much younger and prettier Can Can dancers than I would ever be! I think they are ballerinas.

I love the pic of the beautiful woman next to her twin in mosaic.
