Charleston's Bucket List

The January issue of Charleston Magazine has sixty-five things on The Charleston Bucket List that they suggest every local must experience.

Take a peak and see how you rank. I've done most of them, at least most of the ones I care about. I've painted the Folly boat, sat next to Bill Murray (he didn't notice :), walked Boneyard Beach and paddled the Edisto river. I've done well but I still do need to see this:

Even though we have "Flipper" and think dolphins are all cute and stuff, there's something a little eerie about all those large bodies surging up out of the water at once. Makes you glad for boats.

I'm wondering how you go about to get a shot like that...do you just get lucky, or is there some sort of sign that the dolphins might appear in a particular spot?

At any rate - how cool!

Thanks for the list, it's a fun one!

Dolphins run fish up on banks often enough that sometimes on creeks you'll see them once a day or so. It depends on the tide and the fish too.

Pixel - I think there are places where is it known to happen often. I need to get out there. I'd like to see this.

It is a big freaky. Luckily it isn't on a regular beach where you could be startled by it.
