Making Hay while the Sun Shines

Middleton Plantation, Charleston, S.C.

Okay, on closer look it isn't hay. It looks more like bamboo. This evening's pictures are more from a recent trip to Middleton Plantations.

I am watching the Concert for the Queen's Jubilee and wishing she could just relax and give them one big grin. Ain't gonna happen no matter how much they spend to celebrate.  Luckily it doesn't seem to be stopping anyone else from having a good time.

I hope noone switched you, Joan! And I heard a very funny bit about the Queen not smiling. Wish I could remember where. Hey, I would like to make a "date" with you, very soon. Lunch, dinner, or cocktails. You choose, please and let me know as soon as you can! Thanks.

Beautiful rural images Joan, the second shot is a gem, love the macro with blurred background. When I was watching the parade, I mean the flotilla up the Thames I was thinking ..good grief she is 85 years old she should have a blanket around her and a hot cuppa tea to sip!

Perthdailyphoto - thanks much! The Queen has always taken her responsibility very seriously....still...a little show of joy wouldn't hurt anyone.
