Best tips for colicky babies?

Charleston, S.C.

This picture makes me laugh. Allie isn't colicky but was definitely not in the mood for photos. She did calm down so maybe the statue has calming powers. ;)

Maybe it was that tourniquet around her head?

Best tips for colicky babies?

My grandmother had a friend who never married and to the kids in my group, all around seven years-old, she was the meanest thing on earth.

I do remember her advice to a young lady in church one Sunday who asked how to quiet a fussy baby. Her response was, "Don't have any kids."

Wish I could say she had a heart of gold under that gruff interior but I clearly remember the preacher didn't even like her.

In Germany, babies get fennel seed tea from day one (they give it to them while they are still in the hospital) which is supposed to help with colic.

I just put my kids on top of the dryer while it was tumbling clothes.

maggsworld - I think it flares back up around age 13 in girls.

Pixel - the constant motion seems to help - they fall asleep right away in a car. it was worth it taking them for a ride. Fennel is new to me.

Christina, marcheline - hahah!
