Zoom, zoom, zoom! Blue Angels do the Charleston
Blue Angels, Charleston, S.C.
I am sooooo glad I timed my walk to be on the waterfront for the Blue Angels show over the Charleston harbor this afternoon. This was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. There were lots of people - kids on Dad's shoulders, dogs, picnics but everything felt happy and excited. I hate to post this without sound effects they were so awesome.
Check out the viewing spot those folks on the top of the crane had in the top photo. Wow. That is what you call a VIP viewing spot.

Cool series of shots. I especially like the second one.
Did they practice locally? When I lived in Seattle they were banging about for a week, all day long, and the bridges over Lake Washington were closed for hours. Hell of a racket as my home and office were under their flight course.
bfarr - thank you!
Waldo - Just on Thursday for awhile. We had to see if the carriage horses would bolt. Heheh. I missed it all being at work so was happy to have a chance to see them today.
I like that second shot as well. Did the planes make the flag stand at attention?
great photos
Your shots of the air show are awesome! Great vantage point. Thanks for the plug the other day!
Awesome!!! I think my favorite is the one with the bridge.
Thanks folks! It was awesome. I am having fun checking out everyone's pictures from the day. Some people must have almost been standing next to me.
Les - of course. Patriotic planes :)
Roaming - you are welcome. This city has enough good photo ops for all of us.
Jarart - Thank you!
How can I get my name listed? Liked the SC Flag/Blue Angels shot. David.
Yea! Fantastic pictures, Joan! I love them - especially since I wasn't there! I love the one with the state flag! Perfect! You are the best!
