Best of the British Black Cabs - Charleston, SC

Charleston, S.C.

I get tickled every time I see one of these British Black Taxi cabs in Charleston. The rest of the album and larger versions: here.

I got to drive a Black Cab once. They're much more fun from the back seat!

And far more fun when you chase them down, Joan!

The day the cab driver drove around with me for photos I kept trying to jump in the front seat. There wasn't one! It was empty for luggage.

Caroline - It is at the end of Plymouth Dr. Pass the Terrace Theater and stay right, then turn right on Plymouth. It is right by the Fire Station. Lovely spot to watch the sunset.

Wonderful series. The cabs are a delight and add so much to Charleston. Very classy and "important" looking wherever they appear. The last shot is my favorite, Joan.

BTW, your niece is very attractive, talented and you can be mighty proud.

Thanks Frank!

wildstorm - It's been a while since you were here!

Rajasthan - I've been enjoying your shots as well.

I am not sure if owning a fleet of British cars is at all lucrative (parts and servicing must be a bear) but they seem to be well kept. They also fit right in with the architecture :-)
