Church Photo in Lieu of Attendance - St. Johns Episcopal

Anson St., Charleston, S.C.
Charleston looks so festive in her holiday wear it is time to add to the Church Photo in Lieu of Attendance series. I just googled back to discover I posted almost exactly the same shot of this St. John's Reformed  Episcopal Chapel at this time of year in 2008.

I just walked to the Meeting St. Piggly Wiggly store to get ingredients for Curried Zucchini soup. Yum. It is breezy, chilly enough to be a perfect soup day.

This afternoon is the day that they block traffic from King St. and it looks like they have all kinds of festive things going on. Check out the Second Sunday on King blog for the schedule of events.See you there!

Holiday decorating with a hand from nature

Anson & Hassell St., Charleston, S.C.
How beautiful are these? Wow. Someone put some work into these lovely decorations. The arrangements were in window boxes and on the gates at Anson & Hassell St. They are incredibly lovely.

Sweet Sundays

Anson St., Charleston, S.C.

Check out all the stuff these folks have collected! Here is the link to a larger version so you can see the wacky treasures.

Just googled "chicken avocado panini" for recipe suggestions and will steer my walk past Harris Teeter for bacon and cheese. Oh yum. I intend to spend this afternoon sitting in my freshly painted Adirondack chairs and relaxing. Sweet. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

You might be a Faith Blogger if......

Anson St., Charleston, S.C.

Faith bloggers seem to be one of the fastest growing group of bloggers. I've posted this before but I still get a kick out of this list of clues that you might be a Faith Blogger.

You might be a faith blogger if…

* if you sit in the back row of the church because that's where the wifi signal is the strongest
* if your sermons allow both comments and trackbacks
* if you tithe through a widget
* if you think committing the original sin is getting tempted by the latest Apple
* if you pray that God will allow you to upload your photo to the Lamb’s Book of Life
* if your prayers are less than 140 characters because that's all Twitter allows
* if you ever wonder why the domain of Satan doesn’t have its own URL
* if you think Jesus’ command to Peter to “Feed my sheep” was to allow RSS syndication
* if you think streams in the desert is a blog from Las Vegas

. . . then you just might be a faith-blogger!
