Hammock at the beach - Folly Beach

Folly Beach pier, Folly Beach, SC
This is better that trying to find to trees the perfect distance apart. He was swinging back and forth and didn't notice me sneaking a shot from behind. I had a lovely walk on Folly Beach this morning. Sadly traffic tends to scare me away during the hot summer when the beach would be so welcoming. It's always a treat to walk on Folly.

Lazing on a lowcountry afternoon

Bull St., Charleston, S.C.
Not a bad way to spend an afternoon. I might need to get myself one of these hammocks. Instant vacation!

Now that the magical season between Valentine's Day and Easter is over I guess I need to get back on my usual low sugar routine. Sad. I love oranges but it is hard to pretend they are Cadbury's chocolate Easter eggs.

Relaxation lowcountry style

White Point Gardens, Charleston, S.C.
This looks like the life! These hammocks have been popping up all over. They look quick to set up and down and so relaxing.

I picked up the West of Newspaper and it took me a few startled minutes of reading before it hit me that is was their April Fools issue. Enjoy! This article about renaming West Ashley cracked me up.

Spring Break Charleston Style

Marion Square, Charleston, S.C.
There is a early warm day in Charleston when Marion Square fills up with college students in bikinis, Frisbee players, happy dogs, picnickers and now hammocks. These must be the perfect trees. I left, walked around and came back and there was a different hammock in place. Happy Spring Break!
