Feeling blue

I must plant exactly the number of hydrangeas it will take to have cut flowers all summer. 

They are so beautiful. I need to buy more.

If the most incredibly deep blue hydrangeas are found in cemeteries I wonder if I can offer up my yard as a final resting place. I have room for a tomb or two. Something is working! The hydrangeas at Bethany and St. Lawrence Cemetery are glorious right now.

The hydrangeas are so beautiful this year I can't bear the fact that I don't have any of my own. Happily I have friends who have hydrangeas so I have a bouquet of blue ones on my desk.

Whatcha all up to this Friday night? I worked too late to get to my movie. That can't be good.
