Cosgrove Ave., North Charleston, S.C. |
I spent the day in meetings at Trident Technical College and this sign is one of the little gifts always waiting for me when I cut through Cosgrove Ave. to get back on the highway. I love the red curly hand painted letters. Sorry for the color - I had to take it through the windshield at a stop light. Shrimps! Jala-peno Peppers! Step right up.
Mmmmmm! Sounds delicious. Now I'm hungry again.
ReplyDeleteIs the plural of shrimp "shrimps"?
S
It is around here! There is a corner store close to me that just puts out a sign that says "LIVE". We are supposed to know it means Live Crabs. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI'll take the seafood; you can keep the okra!
ReplyDeleteA bowl of shrimp and grits would be nice right about now, with a side of fried okra.
ReplyDeleteWe grew up calling shrimp "shrimps"; it's a hard habit to break even years later and far from Charleston!
ReplyDeleteBeach Bum - you get everyone's okra I guess. I can eat it but I never go asking for it.
ReplyDeleteJulia - that is cute!
I'd love a little bit of everything. My canvas shopping bags would be filled to overflowing after a stop here.
ReplyDeleteYummmm! I love me some Jala-Peno P. Eppers! And those crabs? They wouldn't be live when I got through with 'em! GET IN MA BELLEH!
ReplyDeleteNothing like a good bit of signage. This is a fine one!
