The blossoms are coming, the blossoms are coming!
Spring St., Charleston, S.C.
Hello sunshine! I spotted this color on the side of Innovative Interiors on Spring St. this morning. Hold on to your hats, kids! Charleston is about to turn into a garden.
I noticed this shot today driving back to James Island from the Park Angel event at the Maritime Center this afternoon. I must take a break and go shoot while the cherry trees are having a party! Great shot.
Thanks folks! All I had was my little pocket Canon but it was such a colorful scene I had to see what I could get. The cherry trees are indeed having a party!
Here in Vancouver B.C., our cherry trees have been in bloom for a few weeks, and the rhodos and magnolias are about to burst open. Love the pictures, they always make me smile.
Sandy - My pocket Canon is an old Powershot A590. My main camera is a DSLR Canon 40D at home and a 50D for work.
My trick is that I offer to take pictures at conferences I attend, they comp the tuition and room and then I tell my CEO I need to spend the budgeted conference money on upgraded equipment and everyone is happy. Truth is I am a workhorse photographer and use my cameras hard.
Well your very good with taking pictures. I have a Canon as well, the Rebel XSi but really still learning how to operate it. I have no idea what an aperture is. Oh well. But it would be nice to have the pocket camera as well someday. Thank you for the info. That was cute what you wrote about taking the pictures for the conferences, hey if your willing, then you should have the best equipment and lens possible.

ReplyDeleteI saw them today too! Are they cherry trees? I always thought they were dogwoods.
ReplyDeleteYou never cease to amaze me with the picture you captured with the alligator and the turtles ! How do you do it? That could surely win an award.
I saw a Monk today lol, guess that doesn't compare with the alligator rare shot !
Very nice! It's quite stand out from the cloud.
ReplyDeleteHard to believe spring is coming as we're set to get some snow. Beautiful capture here - love the lighting.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo. I remember to the blue window desktop of Microsoft Windows. But I love your photo more.

ReplyDeleteJoan, could you please tell me what type of pocket Canon you are using and is it the same camera you captured the alligator with?
