Name That Tune

Folly Beach, S.C.

Any clue what the rest of the saying is? I keep mulling it over in my head but can't figure it out. "An Honest Tune Has ....."

  3. I guess as many people dislike graffiti as find it entertaining and even cool. This line of copy on the sea wall is so interesting because the sand has covered just enough to raise the graffiti artist's original intent and purpose. Neat post.

The beach look a bit chilly and quiet.

  4. Frank - This one didn't bother me too much since it eventually gets washed away. I've taken pictures of other quotes in the same place. Destruction and vandalism do bother me very much.

  5. Interesting quote for a person doing graffiti ... usually it's the young kids doing it and that quote feels like it would be from a much older person.

  6. Toy Camera - Everyone is young when they are on Folly Beach. Heh.

    Widespread Panic Driving Song lyrics
The leaves seen through my window pane
Remind me that it's time to move my life again
November sun is felt by none
A chilly breeze has blown my thoughts to what's to come
A cup of warm coffee, some vitamin C
A bowl for the cat, a bowl for the dog, a bowl for me
Choose my bluest tape and unlock my car
An honest tune( with a lingering lead) has taken me this far
On the edge of the porch in the warm evening night
Throwing the bone for the dog I see two passing lights
Well, I wonder where that driver's bound
Is there someone, somewhere, some way out there that I've not found
A touch of smoke ain't what it seems
Dust and sunshine can also make my eyes look mean
But there's a brown cat sleeping through this day's show
Toppin' off the woodpile, breathing slow

Joan, I stumbled across your website today looking for photos of the Cistern. I had to take a job 2.5 hours from my beloved Charleston a year ago. Even though I return home most weekends, I am just as homesick through the week now as I was in the beginning. Your blog and photos will become as a close friend I will look forward to visiting with through the long weeks away from home. Thanks so much!
