Queen St., Charleston, S.C. |
Charleston is a garden right now. The plants are glorying in our daily rainstorms. Yep, it is raining again. I parked at Colonial Lake this morning and walked down one of my favorite streets - Queen St.
My house is muggy and I have all the ceiling fans spinning at high speed. My air-conditioning gentleman (thanks Charles!) arrived promptly this morning but I am to wait until 4 p.m. to turn things back on and hope for the best. It sounded like the perfect time to escape to the coolness of the Terrace Theater for an early movie. Wish me luck!
History Fair tomorrow at Magnolia Plantation if you are looking for something to do.
My fingers are crossed for your AC.
ReplyDeleteWe've had a lot of rain, too, and our lawns look luscious...and in need of mowing!
With the title of this post, I expected to see RuPaul in a flowered hat - HA! Love these pics, and good luck with your a/c. That's no joke down in SC - you gotta have it!
ReplyDeletebeautiful photo Joan!! Hope you're doing well :)
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of Kurtz from The Heart of Darkness, murmuring "Oh, the humidity, the humidity."
ReplyDelete"I swear I thought turkeys could fly." Thanks Bruce. Joan, beautiful shot.
ReplyDeleteHe fixed it! For the time being anyway which is what counts, right? You always hope to get one more summer out of an old unit. He said he wouldn't be surprised if I have to call him back but so far so good. Sweet.
