Snakes in the alley!

Longitude Lane, Charleston, S.C.
I've seen the Don't Tread on Me flag before but not this bright red and blue version. It was a dramatic pop of color on Longitude Lane.

I tried my hand at a Moroccan chicken stew this weekend and came home smiling knowing there was a pot of leftovers in the frig. I quickly took care of that.

What a glorious day! It was painful sitting inside working all day. So many people have been off sick lately it was tempting to try to call in "too healthy to work" on such a pretty day. Rain tomorrow and cold the next so I hope everyone appreciated the sunshine.

This flag is listed as "The flag of the South Carolina navy" during the American Revolution. The flag is essentially the same as the Continental Naval jack, but with the motto "DONT TREAD ON ME" appearing on the second red stripe from the top, and joining stripes of Scotland's blue and England's red.

    1. Thanks Birdchaser. I tracked down the Naval Jack but nothing that had these colors.
