I did a little gardening myself this morning with an early visit to Lowes garden center. I am so paranoid about poison ivy on my property that container gardening has had more appeal. I am scared of my own yard after a couple of bad outbreaks last year. Grrrrr. It wasn't pretty.
I saw an interesting movie this weekend, Finding Vivian Maier - the documentary about the street photographer who worked as a nanny in Chicago and left 1,000s of negatives, prints and undeveloped film. It is a fascinating story and her photographs are quite amazing. Here is an interesting essay in the New Yorker about her. I think this movie will be of interest to my fellow photo bloggers. It is playing at Citadel Mall as well as the Terrace Theater.

ReplyDeleteI have heard of that movie. I don't know if it's playing here yet- it's the sort of thing that would probably play in the art house theatre downtown.
Keep an eye out for it. It think it will appeal to all of us street happy snappers!

DeleteI am so glad the movie came to Charleston. I saw it in Atanta & loved it although it left me with too many unanswered questions. I have been following Vivian Mair for a long time & had written several blogs on her amazing story.....so glad you got to see the film!
ReplyDeleteWell worth seeing again. I thought it would come to the Terrace but was pleased to see it at Citadel Mall. They have been showing a few more interesting films lately and I am very grateful. The parking situation at the Terrace is getting quite annoying.

DeleteI had read several news articles about Vivian Maier but didn't know they made a move about her. I'll have to see if it's playing anywhere around here.
