Middleton Place, Charleston, S.C. |
Lucky me! A friend offered to leave passes for me at the gates to Middleton Place and I was able to treat a couple of hard working co-workers as a reward. We enjoyed a late lunch at the restaurant and enjoyed everything on the southern buffet. The blossoms were past their prime but the garden was lush and green.
I'd recognize you anywhere! It looks like a great place.
ReplyDeleteHahah! It really is beautiful.
DeleteQuite a locale! I'm sure the local wildlife are just all nice and friendly, but just in case, I'll have my idiot ex-brother-in-law say hello to the critter first.
ReplyDeleteI have a picture of a tourist walking a couple of feet from a really big gator. I was on the other side of the lake and he didn't see the rascal.
DeleteI was there today, too! I wish I could have seen the azaleas in bloom, but I still enjoyed the scenery. The nature walk is a must if you've not done that one yet. The guide John knows his stuff.
ReplyDeleteI got to Magnolia during the blooms but this was so lush and green it had it's own beauty. So lovely!
DeleteA friend once gave me 4 passes also. Wonderful generosity! I love Middleton and miss all my plantations but I have been enjoying the area again and have seen a few alligators. Thanks for visiting my travel blog and leaving a comment!
ReplyDeleteI keep an annual pass to Magnolia but I don't get into Middleton very often. Always a treat. Nice to see you blogging again!
DeleteAbsolutely adore your perspective and cropping!
ReplyDeleteThanks Hilda!
