A few years ago, I saw some young ladies doing this in downtown Charlotte. They got a few hugs, but most people steered clear.
For some reason I usually see men doing it. I was wondering about taking some sweet senior hospital volunteers with pink jackets to the market and offering free hugs. It would be very symbolic!

I think this would be fun to do, but can you imagine how crushed I would be if no one wanted to hug me?
