Seeing Yellow - Charleston
Meeting St., Charleston, S.C.
Nothing dull and drab about fall in Charleston. These yellow blossoms brighten up the streets on the peninsula cheering up my walk this morning.
Poison ivy has left me afraid to garden so the leaves are piling up in my own yard. I have a very wooded lot and may soon need to claw my way out of a leaf pile :). Have a good weekend, kids!
What is it? For half a second I thought it might be a Lady Banks rose with a mind to bloom just whenever but then the close-up disabused me of that thought. It's very pretty so I hope someone knows what it is and will inform me.

ReplyDeleteI did not write that comment. Someone else did and either they are named Joan or they messed up. Anyway, it is a cassias tree/bush.
DeleteA lovely contrast between the blossoms and the surroundings!
ReplyDeleteAs to what it is... I have no gardener's instincts...
William, It is a cassias. Beautiful, eh!
DeleteThe autumnal colors of plants seem brighter and more vivid than at any other time of year. Well, except for the cherry trees in the spring, perhaps.
ReplyDeleteYes, everything seems so crisp and clear.
DeleteLovely golden colour and I just love that glassed door. I can never hear Charleston without thinking of Scarlett O'Hara.
ReplyDeleteThat glassed door is incredible. It is the first house on that side of Meeting St. above White Point Gardens. Lovely.
DeleteI am curious, yellow
ReplyDeleteHeheh :)
