Charleston Alleyways
Longitude Lane, Charleston, S.C.
I am waiting on a chicken pot pie in the oven since my son is having dinner with me this evening. Smells pretty darned good in here.
This evening's photo is of one of Charleston's quaint little lanes. My shot is pretty, no? Now take a look at the same lane though the lens of professional photographer Doug Hickok. Wowza! Gorgeous.
It's just a different camera setting - if I use the "portrait" setting on my Canon Rebel, it looks like Doug's. Use the regular "distance" setting, and it looks like yours. Either way, that's one photogenic little lane you have there! If I lived/worked in that lane, I'd put sensational plants in my window boxes, to give photographers something fun to play with! Ah, who am I kidding - I'd be out there photographing my own fabulous window boxes - ha!
Beautiful little alleyway, and I like both versions! Different perspectives, different lenses, and a bit of Photoshop, but equally beautiful. Thank you for the link to Doug!

ReplyDeleteYou could just pose in some of your vintage wear and be in everyone pictures ;)
DeleteThanks for the nice pic. Have walked down that lane many, many times.
ReplyDeleteIt is a sweet lane. Thanks for the comments Scott!
DeleteBoth look quaint and comfortable. That's all that really counts, right? :)
