Audubon Swamp, Charleston, S.C. |
It is the spring statement fashion Charleston style - stylish boots and short shorts. It was a bright sunny day, a bit warm for boots but considering all the little bites I have on my sandaled tootsies, she was dressed the smarter of us for stomping through the swamp paths.
Thanks to Sheryl for posing for me as we passed on our hikes around the lake.
I'd wear snake gaiters. I think that's what they mean when they say "watch your step".

That sounds like a good idea. I should learn. I almost stepped down on a rattle snake at this place. Luckily he slithered out of the way before I accidentally stomped on him.
DeleteIt seems Sheryl would look great in anything. And maybe boots are not such a bad idea with all those odd critters in the swamp.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth. She was making a fashion statement in the middle of the swamp.
DeleteSigh.... I remember the good old days when I could dress like that and not get laughed off the planet.
ReplyDeleteNow, THIS is a terrific portrait, Joan. The personality shines through.
ReplyDeleteShort shorts are shorter. I remember short shorts vividly. She looks good, I must say.
ReplyDeleteIt is the one style that I think is very Charleston right now. You are correct, short shorts can be shorter. She is the first of my short, shorts and boots collection. I will do better :)
