Smith St., Charleston, S.C. |
I've featured teeny, tiny houses of Charleston before but this one on Smith St. takes the cake.
I love it when people throw things out on the sidewalk and they are gleaned before the garbage trucks come by. On my walk back up the street I grabbed two watering cans.
Looks like a post-war scene from Gone With The Wind. ;)

Brilliant comment! Love it!
DeleteI can't decide if it was a playhouse or a dog house!!! I like it.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a doll house that has seen better days.
DeleteLooks like someone made a small replica of their house as a dollhouse.
ReplyDeleteI did that for my daughter when I had a good looking, classic 2-story house back in Missouri.
Challenging but a lot of fun to figure it all out.
And unique.
I remember you featuring that house! Very cool.
DeleteI did a post on a tiny house on America St a while back... seems appropriate to share :)

I love it! I remember when they built it but it was never on my regular walking routes. I need to get over and get a picture. Thanks for the reminder!
DeleteI have seen plenty of architectural moulding salvaged for reuse, but this is the first time I have seen it taken off a dollhouse. Wow. Where do you sell that? Fairy ReStore?
ReplyDeleteI hope the little dollhouse had a happy ending. Here in Greenville, we have one with an ultimate outcome. This article just appeared this week and I couldn't help but think of your photo: http://www.towncarolina.com/town-buzz/hometown/746-mini-splendored-thing.html
ReplyDeleteI got to view this dollhouse up close and personal Monday. I am running a series of the photos I took starting here: http://365project.org/BevAnneS/365/2013-03-21
