Percy St. Banana Plantation
Banana trees, Percy St., Charleston, S.C.
Hello Mister Banana Man, check this out! Percy St. is like a Banana Plantation at the moment. This is pretty impressive. Someone asked in a recent post where the bananas were. Apparently they are on Percy St.
Now you need to find a peanut butter tree and pick some of that, too. Now put them together...a peanut butter and banana sandwich...and you'll have one of Elvis', and my, favorite sandwiches. Don't laugh...they're good!

Pretty remarkable! Living in Minnesota, I can't imagine bananas growing like that in someone's yard!

Good grief!
I will agree with Lowandslow - peanut butter and bananas actually do go good together. Not sure about frying them the way Elvis' cook did, though.
It is a bit surprising here as well. People grow them but they generally freeze down over the winter. This is pretty cool!
I just might! We grow a lot of peanuts in South Carolina. I'll keep an eye out for the peanut butter tree.
I'm a peanut butter and honey on toast gal although I do like to eat bananas.
OMG - that video! Where do you find this stuff? I want to have a dinner party like that :)
It is from Beetle Juice. I love it too! It would be fun to recreate it. It cracks me up that Dick Cavett was in it.
That's awesome! I saw the biggest lemon tree (trees?) EVER. Drooping with fruit, and huge. I can't wait to see it when the lemons are yellow!
Very Nice!
You must be in Nana Heaven!
Lemons or limes would be a treat. How lovely!
Bananas! Cool flower and a hoot that you included that hysterical rendition of the song. My daughter loves that movie.
