Shem Creek, view from Vickery's Restaurant, Mt. Pleasant, S.C. |
As I waited for the paddle boat racers to come back in this morning there was one thought that kept running through my mind..."MMmmmm. Salmon Cesaer Salad at Vickery's. Mmmmm." By the time I was ready to leave it was a reasonable time for lunch and I went in and ordered one. I tend to get one favorate dish at a restaurant and this is the only thing I've ever ordered at Vickery's. It was just as good as I remembered.
Confession - when I stepped out on their porch to take this picture I thought the fellow on the dock was taking a picture back of me. Ummmm...now that I see the photo I see there is a bird above his head. Oh well.
Oh wow - that is my fav at Vickery's also! LOVE a good salmon ceasar salad. YUM.
ReplyDeleteAm I right? It is so yummy. :)
DeleteI think the photographer was really focusing on you, but the bird had other thoughts on his mind as he was circling for another try. PS. The dish looks fantastic and I think I'll try it at home myself!
ReplyDeleteHahah, let's go with that idea :)
DeleteYou could make it at home. It was great.
So he got two birds with one shot.... pretty good! 8-)
ReplyDeleteGood one! Maybe I will be the mystery person in the back of his bird shot.
DeleteI'd prefer the Salmon Caesar Salad sans the salmon.
ReplyDeleteI love salmon. Tasty as well as pretty.
DeleteHEY! Good to know, salmon salad is my husband's favorite, now he has a new one to try! I love how you "say" things most people would just think... that's what makes your blog so interesting to read, great info with humor as an added bonus!
ReplyDeleteThanks Barbara!
DeleteI think Vickery's must have the best waterfront view. I bet sunset is pretty dramatic over the marsh.
Let's review: He could take a picture of a beautiful woman, or a bird on a bombing run. Is that REALLY a valid choice? ;)
ReplyDeleteS
He took the bird shot although to be honest I was probably about as attractive as a wet dish rag at that point. I'd been out in the heat all morning.
DeleteGotta love Shem Creek. Red's and Vickery's are great places to visit
