A girl's best friend

A girl's best friend, Magnolia Cemetery, Charleston, S.C.n

Some of my favorite walks are through cemeteries and Charleston's are some of the best. I've spent a lot of time in historic Magnolia Cemetery but don't very often get back the more recent tombs in the back Greenhill section where I found this one. I've never seen a tombstone like this before, have you?

  1. I'm not sure I understand it, but anything involving a dog makes me smile. :)

  2. "av guy" is me, lowandslow. I have no idea where that comes from. Blogger has my account so screwed up I can't even post anymore. That's Ok ,as long as I can still read what my friends have to say.

    1. That is what I think....a little gal who loved her dog. Sad.

  4. It's both sweet and unique! I wonder who's gravesite it memorializes. A child? Certainly not the dog! In any event, I love it.

    1. Right - it would be the child. I don't know why I didn't take a shot of the entire tomb.
