Vote for a friend - Mad Men Casting Call

Crepe Myrtle, Charleston, S.C.

It has definitely been a Crepe Myrtle year.

Do me a favor if you would, vote for my bloggie buddy Marcheline for a spot on Mad Men. Mad Men is my favorite current show to watch and it would be a real kick to see a friend on it. It is easy to do, you don't have to register or promise your first born child. Simply click here to vote!

  4. Crepe Myrtles don't have much of a scent but they are colorful enough to make up for it and give us a treat all summer long.

They look lovely and sensuous and must be special to be used as an imagery in a prophecy of Isaiah (55:13)"......instead of briers, the myrtle will grow.........". Lucky myrtle,to be one of the few species of creation which finds a mention in the Scriptures. And lucky you,to be in a place, getting to see abundant and colourful(noticed white ones in an earlier blog)blooms. Voted for your friend.Inform us if she makes it.

  7. bfarr - ours were glorious this year. The city is a garden.

Namrata - We have red, white and pink. Absolutely beautiful. It is our summer gift. Thanks for voting. I don't think she has a chance - some of the entries have thousands of votes. Too bad.

  8. Hey Joan - thanks for the support! It looks like folks are much more interested in the crepe myrtle than in MadMen, but here's hoping they voted anyway... heh!

  10. Joan - THANKS! And I know I don't have a chance to win, really, since they're running the contest all wrong. A true popularity contest would first gather all the entrants, and then put them simultaneously to be voted on. The way these folks decided to do things was to allow people to enter AND be voted on for three months... which basically means that whoever had their picture up in June will have more votes than the person who enters in August... but whatever. It's all for fun, right?

Thanks again for helping pro-actively - which you always do!
