I finally made it out to
Magnolia Plantation & Gardens yesterday so I will be sharing a few more blossoms pictures. I felt like I was walking in heaven. It is still glorious and well worth a visit. I renewed my annual pass.
Founded in 1676 by the Drayton family, Magnolia Plantation has survived
the centuries and witnessed the history of our nation unfold before it
from the American Revolution through the Civil War and beyond. It is the
oldest public tourist site in the Lowcountry, and the oldest public
gardens in America, opening its doors to visitors in 1870 to view the
thousands of beautiful flowers and plants in its famous gardens.

Joan, it is absolutely beautiful. One odd thing about spending the winter in southwest Florida where flowers bloom all year round is that we don't get the happy surprise of spring flowers and flowering shrubs bursting from the desolation.

It felt like it yesterday! Not so much in the worst heat of the summer perhaps but at the moment it is glorious.
Charleston is a garden right now. It might/should be the law to have at least one azalea bush in your yard I think. Heheh.

Yes, that is why downtown was packed yesterday. It is the best time of year.
