Lamboll St. Sweets
Lamboll St., Charleston, S.C.
Look at this little flock with baby chicks! I spotted them in a yard on Lamboll St. and couldn't quite believe my eyes. The gate was wide open and they were quite at home.
I saw them there today while taking an early evening walk. Three adults, but no chicks (I didn't want to trespass to find the babes). I could hear them clucking from the street.

Guinea fowl! My daughter lives on a farm in South Africa and she has guinea fowl, too.
I didn't expect to see them in a yard in downtown Charleston!
They're a great alarm service, and they eat bugs too!
Cuteness personified. :)
